Stephanie Whetsel Borzendowski and Leah Hartman's partnership began at Clemson University in 2013, where they were both pursuing their doctorate degrees. Their academic paths even crossed on a significant day: Stephanie defended her dissertation while Leah presented her master's thesis proposal.

After graduating in 2014, Stephanie started her career as a human factors consultant at Applied Building Science in Charleston, SC. Leah joined the firm in 2018 after completing her degree, and they quickly developed a strong working relationship. This collaboration laid the foundation for their next big step.

In 2022, fueled by their shared expertise and a vision for the future, they decided to strike out on their own. From this ambition, Perceptio Forensics was born, built on a decade of shared experience and a passion for their work.
